How to Make a Strawberry Martini
If you follow me on Instagram, you'd have seen over the weekend me and @min_effort made some gorgeous strawberry martinis. Now, strawberry martinis are one of my all-time favourite drinks.
My favourite time to have this fruity little number is usually on a night out with friends, or unwinding after a long week at work.
Whilst there are many "strawberry-infused martini" recipes out there, the one we're making should technically be called a 'strawberry cocktail', mainly because it's not similar to a martini at all!
This cocktail emerged during either the late '80s or early '90s in London.
During this time period, London was one of 'the' places for cocktails, with numerous modern-day classics coming from the British capital (including the famous Bramble, and Espresso Martini) The original drink is usually a lot stronger, with more vodka instead of pineapple - but we wanted to make it even MORE refreshing.
Try it our way for a sweeter, fruitier taste.
Instructions & Ingredients:
Put ice in a cocktail shaker & add 50ml of Vodka
Add 50ml of pineapple juice
Add 25ml strawberry puree (we made our own by blending strawberries)
Add 25ml of sugar syrup.
Shake it up, and strain into a martini glass
& enjoy !
Give this cocktail ago, it may be your new fave! See below our video making this stunning drink whilst enjoying the sun!
