5 Ways to Block out Negativity from Your Life & Become More Positive

2020 has been a whirlwind of a year, & its only July...

In a world filled with nail-biting news and restless nights, I thought I'd put together a blog on ways to rid any unnecessary stress and/or negativity from your life.

Cut out People Who Make you Unhappy

Life is too short to let people who constantly put you down or make you feel depressed, stick around. I'm a big believer in cutting off anyone who mentally drains you, and potentially affects your confidence and view of life. Be unapologetically yourself, and if the people in your life are not supportive - you know where the block button is.

Take Regular Social Media Breaks

Whether we like to admit or not, we spend a lot of time on social media comparing ourselves to others. One thing we need to remember is social media only shows the best side of people. No one shows their true selves or exposes any imperfections. Take a day offline to look at how beautiful your life really is, and tell the people around you how much you love them.

Schedule time to Celebrate your Wins

If you've followed my first step and blocked out anyone that brings a negative vibe to your life, your life will now be filled with people who care - and want to celebrate your wins. Life is too short to ignore all your triumphs. Embrace it, and celebrate every time you succeed!

In life, we tend to be too hard on ourselves and focus on our failures. So I think celebrating all your wins is a great pact you should make with yourself.

Be More Grateful for the Little Things

We spend a lot of time in life thinking about what we don't have, rather than taking time to appreciate all the amazing things we do have.

I'm completely guilty of this.

Becoming more positive helps us open ourselves to new opportunities and prospects. Take a look at this blog here on 60 things in life to be thankful for.

Find More time to Focus on Your Hobbies

One thing I'm thankful for in lockdown is the time out I've had to focus on new hobbies. Do things you love & are passionate about. If you don't know what that is - no problem! Click here to read how you can find a new hobby as an Adult.
