4 Classic Cocktails you Can Make During Isolation - The Vodka Edition
Updated: May 4, 2020
Me and my boyfriend have been missing our date night cocktails at our local bars. Luckily for me, he used to be a bartender. So we decided to put together four fancy cocktails you can make from the comfort of your own home.
All of these ingredients include Vodka for this round of drinks. If you don't have a cocktail shaker already you can use a reusable coffee cup, or you can buy the cocktail shaker we use here for under £15.
We picked two cocktails each for this, ladies first so we shall start with me...
Pornstar Martini
This is my favourite cocktail of all time. I've missed it so much since quarantine and was really impressed with how amazing it turned out.

Instructions & Ingredients:
Put ice in cocktail shaker
25 ml of Vodka
25 ml of passionfruit liqueur
50 ml of pineapple juice
25 ml of sugar syrup
A couple dashes of vanilla syrup
Shake up all the ingredients for 20 seconds
Pour straight into your glass
Slice a passionfruit in half & place on top of your drink
& of course a shot of prosecco on the side!
If you want to make it extra fancy, you can coat the rim of the glass like we have here. You will need to rub a lemon or lime over the edge of the glass & then dip it in sugar.
Cosmopolitan
This is my second fave when it comes to ordering drinks at a bar. It's a perfect drink for any occasion, day or night.

Instructions & Ingredients:
Put ice in cocktail shaker
25ml of Vodka
25 ml of orange or passionfruit liqueur
50 ml of cranberry juice
Add a few dashes of lemon juice
Shake it all together for 20 seconds & pour straight into a glass
You can then garnish it with either a lemon or a lime - or you can leave it the way it is.I also added a sprinkle of pink prosecco glitter to make it extra sparkly if you have this on hand!
The next two picks are @min_effort...
Moscow Mule
The reason for this pick comes mostly from the ginger beer rather from the vodka, my boyfriend enjoys more spicy and bitter cocktails compared to my sweeter ones.

Instructions & ingredients:
Add ice straight into a glass (no shaker needed)
50 ml of Vodka
Few dashes of lemon juice
3 lime wedges
Top up the glass with ginger beer
& add a sprig of mint.
This is a really simple yet refreshing cocktail!
Bloody Mary
Bloody Marys are perfect for a hangover cure or a late brunch. However, it can also be enjoyed of an evening if like my boyfriend, you enjoy the spice!

Instruction & Ingredients:
Add ice to your cocktail shaker
50 ml of Vodka
150 ml of tomato juice
A few dashes of Worcester sauce
A few dashes of Tobasco
A pinch of salt & pepper
Instead of shaking the drink, stir it with a bar spoon
Pour it into a glass
Add a small glug of red wine or port
Add a pinch of pepper on top
& a stick of celery.
All of these ingredients you can find in you local supermarket whilst on your essential shop. We hope it makes you feel like you're at a bar again, except you're the bartender & the DJ!
The next edition of this will be coming soon, where we will be making four classic gin cocktails!
