13 Things You Should Tell Yourself Each Morning

Day 8 into 2021 and the UK is back in national lockdown, the world has been saddened by riots & Kim and Kanye may be getting a divorce - have you heard about those jeffree Star rumours?! It's been crazy.

Now we're back in lockdown, it can be so easy to get yourself stuck in a rut, and if you do that's completely ok - we're all human, and lockdown isn't normal. So of course we are all prone to struggle.

So, with that being said, I thought I'd write my first blog of the year on 13 things you should say to yourself every morning.

1. No matter what life throws at me today, I'm going to get through it.

You have gotten through every day of your life so far, and you can get through today. No matter what life throws at you, you can handle it.

2. I am loveable.

Yes, YOU! You don't need to change who you are or how you look to be loved. You're perfect just as you are.

3. I have something to bring to the table.

You are unique, and have unique qualities you can bring to the table. Whether that be in relationships, work, social situations. You are exactly where you are supposed to be - don't let your anxiety tell you lies.

4. My past does not define me.

You're human. Making mistakes is part of growing. Those people you see out there who look like they have their shit together have a past too. It's just apart of life, and can mould us into really great people.

5. ... & Neither do other peoples opinions.

Opinions are opinions. If someone chooses to hold a grudge or think badly of you, sometimes you just have to let them. Let that go! Only you know who you truly are, no one else.

6. I am responsible for my own happiness.

Don't rely on other people to make you happy. You are responsible for that. Only you know what you want or need to be completely happy.

7. I'm unique and don't need to compare myself to others

You are unique, you don't want to be like someone else. That famous instagram model you wish you were, or that big corporate CEO, all of these people are just ideas, not the real people. We spend so much time wishing we were like someone else, when truthfully, the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

8. It's ok for me to ask for help if I'm struggling

Don't struggle on your own! It's ok to need help, and there are so many people out there who want to help you. Don't suffer in silence.

9. Negative thoughts are just thoughts not facts!

Thoughts aren't fact. Thoughts aren't fact. Thoughts aren't fact. Keep that in the back of your mind next time you have a negative thought!

10. I am confident

You are, show them what you are made of!

11. I deserve respect

Always remember this, don't let people disrespect or walk all over you - no matter who they are.

12. I'm only human, its ok to make mistakes

If you make any mistakes at all today, thats ok. You're human, don't punish yourself. Remember, there is always a new day ahead of you!

13. I am moving forward

You are, and it's exciting. There are so many great things ahead for you - just keep going!

Whatever has happened in 2021 so far, you've got this - you are going to do so much this year.
